I am so tired of seeing internet MLM people putting other distributors down. All I see is this new generation of MLM’ers slamming those of us who still believe in old school ways. I have watched so many tell people that the upline is lying to them. HUH? That is CRAP and you know it!! These people need to be called out because they are giving such a great industry a very bad name.

This isn’t even about any company. As much as I love the company we are a part of, I love this great industry. So many people are tearing this industry up for those of us who love it. This isn’t about money but in about seeing lives change.

I truly love it every time I see someone make it with any company. Every time that happens, it shows how great our industry truly is.

I just get tired of the lies that these internet marketers are telling people. They are hurting so many people and they don’t even care as long as they make money.

I have watched so many of these guys go from one company to the next to the next and drag so many people with them. I have even heard about one person joined a new company and drug his team with him and his first check was over $9,000 then turns around and drags his team to another new company. All he is doing is using all his downline because he keeps making money but they never do since every time they turn around he is going to the next deal.

You have to find the company that you believe in and stick to it no matter what. Believe me I was one of those that couldn’t find my way but I didn’t drag people with me from thing to thing. I just dragged me from thing to thing. lol

This slamming each other has got to stop. I don’t care what company you are in, you have to respect all companies! People just need to wake up to who they are following and ask does this person really have my best interest?

Another thing about these internet gurus is that they are only selling a 3rd party system that is a capture page. First if their system doesn’t follow FTC Guidelines then you can be shut down from the FTC and also everytime someone fills in the form of that 3rd party system then whoever created that has got that information too. Thats one dirty little secret of internet marketing.

I guess this is just my rant from what I have seen. We are all in this together. It is up to us to help create an atmosphere where the newest distributor can grow to where he wants. There is so much confusion out there because of whats going all. We all just need to remember that what goes around comes around. If you are one of those who puts other distributors down then you need to stop it NOW! All that does is hurts you and hurts the whole industry.

Just my 2 cents

Chris

Here is an article we wrote back in February:

It is Friday, Feb. 18th and just thinking about our date night tonight. My wife and I always go on a date night every Friday. Sometimes we may move it to Saturday but we always have it at least once a week if not more.

We have to have to time to recharge our marriage and communication. These date nights sometimes are the best time we have because it is our chance to enjoy each other and communicate with each other.

We see so many people who think they are communicating with each other whether it is their spouse or their business contacts just because of technology. But is that really communication? Does technology help us communicate or build a wall between most people?

We love technology but sometimes it can be much. When you hear that parents are texting their kids that dinner is ready and the kids are just in the other room or people text to say they are outside instead of knocking on the door then something is wrong with that picture.

Why are we as a society wanting to take out the personal touch? We love dealing with people through personal touch. There is nothing as powerful as the personal touch and I am not talking about touching people here, just that we see people face to face. There is so much power in dealing with people when you actually spend time with them.

Communication is one of the biggest problems with our society that we see and a huge part of it is what technology has done. Now we also know that tehcnology has been great and can help you get more done but maybe that is one of the problems. How many people come home from work to spend the evening with their spouse and kids only to bring work home because of technology. Maybe someone calls them on their cell or they get an email or maybe they get a text but they HAVE to answer it.

WHY do they have to?

In reality they don’t have to answer it. 99% of the time it isn’t even an emergency. If it is an emergency then we understand that but if it isn’t then this time should be given to your family! What ever happened to quality time with the family?

We fear that our society is losing quality time with the family and in return people are buying things and trying to make up for this lost time with bribes. Technology has become the new babysitter. It has replaced human contact in our society.

Technology has a place and it always will. It is supposed to help ease our lives not bring more stress. It is supposed to be used as a tool to enhance our life not become our life. Like anything else something really good can turn out really bad when used the wrong way.

If nothing else just remember from this post, personal contact first especially with family, technology last and it will all work out. Lets all work on truly communicating with our families and the people around us and leave the technology alone every now and then.

Living Our Story,

Chris & Sandy

P.S. You might think it is kind of ironic that we are using technology to post this but as we have said, technology has its place and can be very good when used right.

Confidence: You Only Sell You by Dr. Denis Waitley

This article’s focus is on self-confidence and self-esteem. In my opinion, there is nothing more important than your belief in your own potential for success and happiness, regardless of your age, gender, ethnicity, looks, education or background. The truth is, every day you only sell you. You don’t sell products or a business concept. You sell the value of the person offering the products and services. The decision of the buyer is based on the value of the seller. Just as products are branded as “the best,” “cheap,” “ineffective,” “trustworthy” or “unreliable,” so, too, are individuals branded by others as “winners” or “also-rans.” Who you are shouts so loudly that people either can’t hear, don’t want to hear, or listen carefully to what you are saying. Everybody loves a winner, and we all want to buy from winners who pass their own value on to us.

Self-confidence isn’t something you were born with. It’s something you develop. Many of us were cultivated like weeds as children. We played inferior roles to the adults around us, who frequently reminded us of our faults and shortcomings more than our successes and abilities.

If you had that type of childhood, as I did, you face a special challenge in building up your self-confidence as an adult. Here are some basic points to remember about yourself:

Realize that the most important opinion about you is the one that you hold.Ultimately, nobody else is responsible for your life but you. Nobody else is accountable for your actions but you. Therefore, nobody’s opinion about you is more important than yours.

Recognize that the most important conversations are the ones you have with yourself.Whether or not you are aware of it, you have a running conversation with yourself from the time you get up to the time you go to sleep. Your thoughts and ideas are “you talking to you.” Have daily conversations with yourself that are supportive and reinforcing. We know the value of talking to people who praise us, reward us, recognize us, are happy to see us, and let us know they genuinely enjoy talking with us. Talk to yourself with those same qualities—silently as well as audibly.

Develop a strong system of internal values. Weigh what you hold to be true, good and lasting. Write down some of your values for periodic review. Read material that reinforces what you hold to be significant in life. Know what you believe and why you believe it. At times, have discussions—even debates—with yourself. Draw conclusions about life. Think about deeper issues. Your values will greatly affect how you relate to others. The stronger your values are, the greater the impact. If you are lacking in internal values, you will tend to draw from and even use other people to try to mimic their behaviors, if only superficially. Instead, seek to become a model, one who can help and give strength to others.

Don’t reinforce your failures. Failure is a detour, not a dead-end street. Failure is a temporary setback, not a residence. Failure is a learning experience, not a person. Like success, failure is a growth process, not a status. Don’t wallow in your mistakes. Correct them and move forward.

Don’t demand perfection of yourself. An A is usually awarded to the person who scores 90 percent or better, and sometimes the score doesn’t need to be that high. Professional basketball players only make half their shots. Professional quarterbacks complete only half their passes, and professional baseball players reach first base less than 40 percent of the time, and that includes walks. And we all know what our averages are in picking stocks to invest in that are always going up. That would be never! Give your best effort every day and keep racheting it up and forward. Perfection is not only totally unrealistic to expect and virtually impossible to achieve, but it greatly deters your ability to move forward. The person who constantly looks over his or her shoulder at what might have been done better can’t possibly be focused on the future. Drive with your eyes ahead; don’t drive by concentrating on the rearview mirror.

Give each job or task your best effort. Countless individuals say, when confronted with a chore, “I’m too good to be doing this.” They have contempt for their current situation and position, and get discouraged easily. Success is an accumulation of what you do in the minutes of each day. No task is too unworthy to do well. There are no small parts—only small actors.

View the big picture of life. Step back from the landscape of your life today and take a long walk, ride a bike, or just sit silently, observing the wonder and abundance of God’s creation in nature. You are a part of a much bigger whole. Listen to the subtle rhythms of your environment. Recognize that you have rhythms and cycles of change in your life. Relax and open up to the vast creative and interrelated world around you.

To develop confidence, you must see yourself ultimately as a unique part of creation. You must recognize—with pleasure—that nobody else is just like you. No one else has exactly your temperament, history or experiences. No one else has your footprints, your fingerprints, your voice print or your genetic code. No one else has precisely your set of talents, capabilities and skills. You are one of a kind. The value is there. It just needs to be dusted off and polished.

Here is a great article I found by Robert Kiyosaki called “Network Marketing is an Asset, not a job.

By Robert Kiyosaki…

I am sometimes asked, “Why do so few people make it to the top of their network marketing system?”

The truth is, the top of the network marketing system is open to everyone — unlike traditional corporate systems, which allow only one person to reach the top of the company. The reason most people do not reach the top is simply because they quit too soon. So why would someone quit short of the top?

Most people join only to make money. If they don’t make money in the first few months or years, they become discouraged and quit (and then often bad-mouth the industry!). Others quit and go looking for a company with a better compensation plan, but joining to make a few quick dollars is not the reason to get into the business.

The Two Essential Reasons to Join a Network Marketing Business

Reason number one is to help yourself. Reason number two is to help others. If you join for only one of these two reasons, then the system will not work for you.

Reason number one, means that you come to the business primarily to change quadrants — to change from the E (Employee) or the S (Self-employed) quadrant to the B (Business owner) or I (Investor) quadrant.

This change is normally very difficult for most people — because of money. The true ‘E’ or ‘S’ quadrant person will not work unless it is for money. This is also what causes people to not reach the top of the network marketing system: they want money more than they want to change quadrants.

A ‘B’ quadrant or ‘I’ quadrant person will also work for money, but in a different way. The ‘B’ quadrant person works to build or create an asset — in this case, a business system. The ‘I’ quadrant person invests in the asset or the system.

As a ‘B’ or an ‘I’, sometimes you don’t get paid for years; this, a true ‘E’ quadrant or ‘S’ quadrant person will not do. It’s not part of their core values. Risk and delayed gratification disturb them emotionally.

Delayed Gratification and Emotional Intelligence

One of the beauties of network marketing is that it focuses on developing your emotional intelligence as well as your business skills.

Emotional intelligence is an entirely different matter from academic intelligence. In general, someone with high emotional intelligence will often do better than someone with high academic intelligence but low emotional intelligence. That explains, in part, why some people do well in school but not so well in the real world.

The ability to delay gratification is a sign of higher emotional intelligence. In a recent study of emotional intelligence, it was found that people who could delay gratification often led more successful lives than those who could not.

This is why the educational system inherent in a good network marketing opportunity is so important. It’s the emotional education or emotional intelligence aspect of their programs that I find so valuable for people.

Many people write me and tell me they loved my book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, but I fear that many of them don’t get the most important point of the book: Lesson 1, “The rich don’t work for money.”

Once I have built or bought an asset, that asset works hard to make money for me. But I will not work for money — I will work only to build or buy assets. Those assets make me richer and richer, while I work less and less. That is what the rich do. The poor and middle class work hard for money, and then buy liabilities instead of investing in assets.

What Kind of Asset is a Network Marketing Business?

Remember, there are two reasons to be successful in network marketing: to help yourself, and to help others. Reason number one means helping yourself get to the ‘B’ side of the quadrant. What about reason number two?

The beauty of most network marketing systems is that you don’t really make much money unless you help others leave the ‘E’ and ‘S’ quadrants and succeed in the ‘B’ and ‘I’ quadrants.

If you focus on helping others make this shift, then you will be successful in the business. If you only want to teach yourself to be a ‘B’ quadrant and ‘I’ quadrant person, then a true network marketing system won’t work for you. You may as well go to a traditional business school, which focuses only on your becoming a ‘B’ quadrant person.

The beauty of a network marketing business is that your goal is to create assets, which are other ‘B’s working under you — and their job is to create other ‘B’s working under them. In traditional business, the focus is for the ‘B’ to have only ‘E’s and ‘S’s working for them.

The type of business I was taught to build is a business with me at the top and ‘E’s and ‘S’s at the base. I really don’t have room at the top for many other ‘B’s, which is why in my businesses, I strongly recommend that all my employees look into network marketing as their own part-time business.

The traditional corporate system really is a pyramid, because there are a few ‘B’s and ‘I’s near the top, and more ‘E’s and ‘S’s at the base. A network marketing system is a reverse pyramid: its primary focus is to bring more and more ‘B’s to the top.

One type of pyramid, the traditional type, has its base on the ground; the other type has its base in the air. It’s a pyramid that pulls you up instead of pushing you down. A network marketing business gives everyone access to what used to be the domain only of the rich.

In my opinion, network marketing is the best route someone can take to gain freedom from their job. There are many reasons for this.

One reason, you aren’t 100% dependent on your efforts. The goal of network marketing is to help you find many people who can do a little not a few who do a lot. J Paul Getty said “I’d rather have 1% of 100 peoples’ efforts than 100% of my own. How powerful is that statement? See if you have 100% of your own then if you can’t work, you lose all but if you have 1% of 100 peoples’ efforts then if one can’t do the job you still have 99% coming in.

The leverage on time is another great aspect. Think about this. If you were willing to put in 10 hrs a week to your business and your upline was willing to put in 5 hrs a week with your business. That already is 15 hrours a week but lets not stop there. Now imagine you brought on 5 team members who were putting in only 5 hours a week. Now you have 40 hours a week going into your business even though personally you put 10! You can’t get that anywhere else.

Another great reason is everyone on your team is working for their goals not yours. This is also very powerful. If they were employees and you were the only owner then they would only work but so hard. All team members have dreams and goals too. By your team members working for their dreams and goals, they will work harder than if they were only employees.

You also get life-long friends out of this. Network Marketing has been great for building relationships. I have met many people over the years. As your team grows you will get close to many people. Of course there are people that will come and go into your life from your business but you still make some great life-long friends.

Network Marketing changes lives physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually. If you are going to grow a big business you will have to grow personally and grow in leadership. This changes lives. I have seen so much good come from the industry including from my life. Life is all about the journey and network marketing helps guide you with that journey.

If you are going to build a business, you have to want to help people. You will not make it if you are selfish or have ego problems. I have seen many people come and go just because of ego. Don’t let ego get in the way of a great life!

I think the biggest reason I have found to like network marketing is that if you do it right you literally grow closer to God. A lot of people may not like this part but it is true. I haven’t seen anyone yet make it at the levels that most want to, who doesn’t have a deep connection with God. God is there to bless our businesses but only if we put him first. When we don’t he will not bless it because you will be leading people and he wants to know you will use his wisdom to lead the people.

Network Marketing will cut you open to see what kind of person you really are. This isn’t an easy business but a business that is worth it. If anyone approaches you and says this will be easy then you need to run from them because they are lying but what business can you build to a 6 figure income that will be easy? NONE! So why should this be any different? It shouldn’t and it isn’t but once things start growing after 1-2 years, look out! You can’t stop it even if you tried.
